Cult pub in Marburg. The ambience in the basement is as simple as it is brilliant. Be sure to try Altbierbowle.

Hinkelstein is "Keep on rockin 'in a free world" in reality.

Whether you are a tourist, visiting Marburg or a residence of the city you should visit this quite different bar. This place is located at the opposite side of Rathaus in Oberstadt. You will probably never miss it's sign, hanging from the wall. I like its relaxing environment, however the smell of cigarettes could be sometimes disturbing or the loud music makes it difficult to have a chat with your fellows. So, in case you want to go on a date with your hopefully future partner, this place is probably not the right one!

THE pub in Marburg! A must for people who appreciate good rock, rustic atmosphere, a good selection of drinks at reasonable prices, friendly staff and a good conversation at the bar. Everyone is welcome here! Yes, a great welcome culture is lived here - great. Football live, dice, cards and board games are available and are also used actively. A smoker's pub with everything that belongs to it. For years my local pub.

Actually, a nice cellar pub, but it is very loud and from cigarette smoke you can hardly look through the whole pub, let alone breathe. We went outside after a beer.

Atmospheric place. Smoking inside allowed, bad ventilation.

Unfortunately food was not warm at the table, but good in taste. Very long wait. But very friendly service.

I visited this place only one night and what i liked most in it is the music they play. Marburg has a lot of nice bars but the selection of music is really bad at the most of them. Here things are different. I liked their rock playlists and despite the fact that i am not a smoker ( there is a lot of smoke inside) i had a good time.

Down in the basement of a very old building is fun bar. They like to play American and British music. The staff was fun to chat with!

Very cool bar. Great atmosphere. Good beer. Nice place to spend a night out with friends. It does get a bit smokey though, so watch out for that.

Good beer great to watch sports there

Our first German lunch...divine! They have typical German food and great beer choice. The menu is in German but the staff speak English. Cozy atmosphere and average prices. It really wort a visit!!
